Lisbon → Seville · 7-day family itinerary with a rail-first route
A named, editable route that protects the Lisbon → Seville inter-city move instead of treating it as a footnote.
Make the trade-offs visible
This is a planning framework, not a live booking confirmation. Confirm current transport, opening hours, weather, accessibility, prices and provider terms before committing.
Traveller control: Alfred can structure and edit the route; transport, attraction and booking providers set live terms and availability.
Seven days across Lisbon and Seville
Day 1 — Arrive in Lisbon · Baixa reset
Arrive, settle near Baixa or Avenida, and keep the first evening local with Praça do Comércio and an early dinner. If arrival is late, skip sightseeing and protect sleep.
Day 2 — Alfama and the riverfront
Start in Alfama, choose one main viewpoint, then continue toward the riverfront. Use a tram or taxi when hills and heat become a constraint; do not stack multiple timed attractions.
Day 3 — Belém cluster and a flexible afternoon
Keep Belém together: one landmark, the waterfront and a relaxed meal. Reserve the afternoon for rest or an indoor museum, depending on weather and the family’s energy.
Day 4 — Protected Lisbon → Seville move
Pack before breakfast and verify the actual date-specific provider itinerary, connections, border requirements and luggage plan. CP’s passenger guidance is a starting point for Portugal rail information; do not assume a direct train, fare or availability. On arrival in Seville, check in near Santa Cruz or Alameda and keep the evening short.
Day 5 — Santa Cruz and Seville centre
Walk a compact Santa Cruz route and choose either the Cathedral area or a shaded plaza as the anchor. Leave time for a long lunch and remove the optional stop first if the heat rises.
Day 6 — Plaza de España, María Luisa and Triana
Use Plaza de España and María Luisa Park as the morning cluster, then cross to Triana only if the family still has capacity. In hot weather, shorten the walk and shift the riverfront to the cooler evening.
Day 7 — Buffer and departure
Work backward from the confirmed departure airport, terminal and transfer. Keep only a nearby breakfast or market stop that fits the luggage and buffer; otherwise go directly to the airport.
Planning notes
Transport: confirm every provider leg, connection, seat rule, fare and current availability for the actual dates. Pace: group districts, protect the inter-city day, and keep one optional stop removable. Family control: add ages, mobility needs, arrival details and must-dos in Alfred, then edit the route before any booking handoff.
