Logistical validation

Checked before you commit

This is an illustrative route, not a live booking record. The plan protects the Mendoza-to-Uco transfer and treats dispersed vineyards as a transport decision rather than a casual walk between stops.

Route logic
Mendoza city for two nights, then three nights in Uco Valley near the chosen day’s wineries; return to Mendoza with departure buffer.
Family pacing
Two adults and two school-age children, relaxed-medium pace, midday recovery windows and one main anchor per day.
Booking boundary
Confirm winery times, child access, driver/vehicle, roads, menus, weather and accommodation before committing. A booking-hub link does not prove a booking.

Planning boundary: Dates, prices, availability, opening hours, altitude response and supplier terms are unknown until checked live.

Route and base decisions

Use Mendoza as the soft landing and city-food base. Move once to Uco Valley rather than commuting south every day; official tourism guidance places the valley south of Mendoza and names Tupungato, Tunuyán and Villa San Carlos as distinct parts of the region. Protect the move as a daytime transfer and avoid a same-day airport connection. If driving, check the current route and child-seat requirements; if not, confirm a driver or organised transfer that fits the family.

Day 1 — Land softly in Mendoza

01
Arrival and decision

After arrival, settle near central Mendoza and keep the first sequence local: an easy Plaza Independencia walk, then an early meal around the city centre. Hold the afternoon open for baggage, transfers and heat recovery.

Fallback: If arrival is late or the family is depleted, skip the walk and use the hotel’s nearby dining option; confirm the actual route and check-in terms live.

Day 2 — Keep the city day compact

02
City rhythm

Use the morning for Parque General San Martín and the Cerro de la Gloria viewpoint if energy and weather support it; return for a long lunch and quiet middle of day before an early dinner in central Mendoza.

Fallback: Make the park a short loop and replace the viewpoint with an indoor museum or hotel rest. Confirm access, transport and heat conditions.

Day 3 — Protect the Mendoza-to-Uco move

03
Transfer and first valley anchor

Leave after breakfast for the Uco Valley via the current confirmed route toward Tunuyán or the selected base. Keep the first stop modest: check in, eat near the base, then use a short vineyard or village visit only if the family arrives comfortably.

Fallback: If the transfer runs long, make check-in and a base-near meal the whole plan. Confirm road conditions, transfer duration and accommodation check-in before departure.

Day 4 — Tupungato and one bookable vineyard anchor

04
Mountain-facing valley day

Build the day around one confirmed winery in the Tupungato area, such as Salentein only if its current family policy and reservation are confirmed; pair it with a simple lunch and return before the late-day drive becomes tiring.

Fallback: If the winery cannot host children or the slot fails, use a named village or farm-based activity near the base rather than adding a second distant venue. Confirm every booking and road leg.

Day 5 — Tunuyán without stacking tastings

05
One valley decision

Choose one Tunuyán-area vineyard or countryside restaurant with a confirmed family-appropriate slot, then leave room for a slow lunch and a short base-area walk. The rationale is contrast with Day 4, not a race through multiple wineries.

Fallback: If weather, fatigue or access changes, keep the meal and swap the outdoor stop for a flexible indoor or base-near plan. Confirm menu, transport and cancellation terms.

Day 6 — Return with a real departure buffer

06
Departure sequence

Have breakfast near the Uco base, check out, and return toward Mendoza with the current route and airport/overnight plan confirmed. Do not add a remote attraction before an international departure; a city meal works only when the timing is safe.

Fallback: If departure is next day, return to Mendoza and keep the afternoon uncommitted. Confirm baggage, transfer pickup and flight timing live.
